Christmas at the Cozad Home --- Part One

Two of Felicity's favorite people, Gra'ma and Grandpa Smoot had to stay in Oklahoma for Christmas. We were glad that they were able to spend the day with Felicity's cousins: Calvin, Megan, Shannon, and Erin as well as her Uncle Rob and Aunt Rebecca.

Christmas for the Cozads starts long before Christmas Day. This year, we weren't as early as we usually are, but put up most of our decorations the day after Thanksgiving. I forgot to get a shot of the house. I will have to get one -- it looks AMAZING. We have a super steep roof, yet Jon still got up to put up lights.

Fast forward Christmas shopping and wrapping to Christmas Eve, where we each open one present. Here is Felicity with her Daddy as she opens her gift (pjs, a Christmas book, and a movie).
Then, just before bedtime, a VERY special visitor shows up at the door as she is changing into her new PJs. When she opens the door, she finds --------- SANTA! This is the first time she has met Santa, and she loves him instantly, in fact, she can't take her eyes off him. She was even more in love when he pulled a teddy bear out of his Santa Sack. This girl LOVES her stuffed animals.
After Santa left, he promised he would stop by later than night to leave presents... so Felicity put out milk and cookies for Santa and went to bed. When she woke up, or I should say Daddy woke her up because HE couldn't wait anymore, she started by opening her stocking.
After opening stockings, she found an ADORABLE way of unwrapping presents.
After opening presents and playing for a while, visitors started coming over. First, Aunt Erica showed up to help Mommy finish Christmas dinner.
Then, she met Turk --- Jordan and Heather's ADORABLE dog. She LOVES to give kisses -- and Turk seemed to like her too. Cato, Erica's dog came too, so there were three dogs at our house. Surprisingly, they all got along until Buddy remembered he hadn't had his 23 hours of sleep.
To be continued....
