So many of my friends have been saying how glad they are that 2010 is over. Before that, they were saying that they were glad Christmas was over. I'm not with them at all. It has been a wonderful year. I'm enjoying every moment! Come on Anner Bug, let's hide and maybe 2011 won't find us for a while! I don't think that box is big enough for Daddy, Mommy, Anner Bug, and Buddy to hide. We need to find a bigger hiding spot. We're looking forward to 2011, but have enjoyed the past year. We have been blessed with so many things and can't wait to see what the new year will bring. Happy New Year!!!

Christmas at the Cozad Home --- Part One
Two of Felicity's favorite people, Gra'ma and Grandpa Smoot had to stay in Oklahoma for Christmas. We were glad that they were able to spend the day with Felicity's cousins: Calvin, Megan, Shannon, and Erin as well as her Uncle Rob and Aunt Rebecca.
Christmas for the Cozads starts long before Christmas Day. This year, we weren't as early as we usually are, but put up most of our decorations the day after Thanksgiving. I forgot to get a shot of the house. I will have to get one -- it looks AMAZING. We have a super steep roof, yet Jon still got up to put up lights.
Fast forward Christmas shopping and wrapping to Christmas Eve, where we each open one present. Here is Felicity with her Daddy as she opens her gift (pjs, a Christmas book, and a movie).
Then, just before bedtime, a VERY special visitor shows up at the door as she is changing into her new PJs. When she opens the door, she finds --------- SANTA! This is the first time she has met Santa, and she loves him instantly, in fact, she can't take her eyes off him. She was even more in love when he pulled a teddy bear out of his Santa Sack. This girl LOVES her stuffed animals. After Santa left, he promised he would stop by later than night to leave presents... so Felicity put out milk and cookies for Santa and went to bed. When she woke up, or I should say Daddy woke her up because HE couldn't wait anymore, she started by opening her stocking.
After opening stockings, she found an ADORABLE way of unwrapping presents.
After opening presents and playing for a while, visitors started coming over. First, Aunt Erica showed up to help Mommy finish Christmas dinner.
Then, she met Turk --- Jordan and Heather's ADORABLE dog. She LOVES to give kisses -- and Turk seemed to like her too. Cato, Erica's dog came too, so there were three dogs at our house. Surprisingly, they all got along until Buddy remembered he hadn't had his 23 hours of sleep.
To be continued....
Cozad Christmas 2010 Continued.
Felicity having fun with Grandpa Cozad and Cathy. Grandpa told a funny joke... He said kids love bright flashing lights (see toy above) but for adults, bright flashing lights means... a cop. Hehehhe.. I laughed about that one for a long time.
Felicity with Aunt Heather... ( Heather and Jordan got her a book that had a page with a teddy bear and a touch and feel section of teddy -- she kissed and hugged the page for a good 20 minutes. Do you think she LOVED it???)
After everyone left, I told Bug Bug it was time to go to bed, but she insisted on helping Mommy with the dishes... her favorite job. (Mommy puts in spoon, Bug Bug takes it out. She's much better at helping take OUT the CLEAN dishes!!!)
Daddy finding a Christmas present hidden downstairs in the water heater box because otherwise, he would have known it was a telescope.
Bug concentrating on how many calories this chocolate penguin has... or more likely, how cuddly he would be if she could get him out of the box to snuggle!
I made away with WAY too many things this year for Christmas. Jon, Santa, Felicity, and everyone else spoiled me beyond rotten... BUT my greatest gifts weren't under the tree (well - Felicity was some of the time.) It was so wonderful to spend the day with my AMAZING family. I love you all. Next year, if I'm a REALLY good girl --- maybe I can be with my ENTIRE family for Christmas. Ahhh...I better start making a list of how I can be a really good girl.
Merry Christmas

Goodbye Kippie
Mom called me to let me know that our sweet puppy, Kippie died. I can't believe we had 14 wonderful years with her. She was the most wonderful dog. My heart is broken, not only because I miss her, but because my heart aches for my parents. She will forever be in the hearts of the Cozad family.
Sending a big HUG from Felicity, hoping you both feel peace. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Kippie. I know she had a wonderful happy life with you two. You're the best parents ever and we all love you very much.

Mommy's Girl?
Since I have been staying home with Felicity this month, (THANK YOU YEAR-ROUND SCHOOLS!!!) Felicity has been a bit of a Momma's girl. If I am in the room, she doesn't want anything to do with anyone else -- including poor Da Da. I feel so bad for him. He loves his little princess so much and I know she loves him too. I wish you could see the way that she giggles for him --- it is different for him than anyone else. No one can play with her, or make her laugh or smile the way Jon does. She gives him WAY more kisses than she does anyone else. I truly believe one day she will be a complete Daddy's girl, so I guess I should just enjoy the time I have.
We're going Private...
I've been considering this for a long time, but after looking at the people who have been viewing the blog lately, I think it's time to go private. If you are interested, email me at Love_SusieQ@hotmail.com and I'll send you and invitation. I don't want to be over paranoid, but I don't see a reason why stock photos is linking people to my blog. Felicity's safety is the most important thing to me. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll make the blog private early next week.

Oh Felicity, I love you!!!
Felicity is 13 months old now. Can I just tell you how much I love being her mother? She is at the stage where all she wants to do is walk. She is so full of energy - yet randomly will come and sit on my lap, give me a kiss, or reach for a hug. It is almost as if she knows how much I adore her sweet hugs, cuddles, snuggles, and kisses. I love you Felicity Anne!

Christmas Wishlist
So I've been trying to make a Christmas wishlist so that I don't have to say "socks" when my parents and husband what I want for Christmas. How can I want anything when I have this??? I've been given the greatest husband, daughter, and parents ever. I've been blessed with a wonderful extended family, a great job, a beautiful home. Who could possibly be so selfish as to want more? My family is all I need. Here's hoping you enjoy this wonderful holiday season with your loved ones. P.S. If anyone wants a Christmas newsletter, email me. I'm not sure who all to send them to, but I know I need to send one out. It might be late.

Noooooooooooo!!!!
Felicity's LONG, gorgeous, adorable hair was getting really long, so I decided we should have it trimmed before getting her one year old pictures.... BIG MISTAKE!!! Her hair got butchered!!! I'm sooooooooooo sad! I guess I'll wait a little bit and hope her hair grows super fast. Don't get me wrong, she's still a beautiful baby, but she definitely looks even cuter with the longer hair. Felicity isn't sad about it, but Jon and I are! Sniff Sniff...
I'll include a picture soon -- I just had to vent to the wide world web!

Man of the Year
Today is Jon's birthday, so I wanted to honor him. The world may never know how amazing, giving, loving, funny, romantic, playful, caring, etc he is, but for those of us who do know him, he's one of a kind. I love you with all my heart Jon-a-ten! Thank you for being a man who is so easy to love. You will always be number one to Felicity and me .
